I know that most of the people on campus know the awesome, loud, hyper, and enthusiastic Ms. Wilson. She is the High School history teacher and the MUN teacher as well. She is an American citizen who was raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Her mother is a librarian and her father was a radio DJ but now he is an accountant.
Surprisingly, she had a calm life in high school, as she was a quiet student, yet she bravely spoke up for herself whenever she had to. When I asked her about her high school experience, Ms. Wilson said, “ I liked hanging out with friends and I also liked one or two teachers, but I also didn’t like many people in the school because I thought that they were either stupid or snobby. “ She graduated from Notre Dame Academy; she had 250 students in her class.

During high school and college, Ms. Wilson worked at a clothing store, a grocery store, a cookie store, box office, and also in summer camps for many years. However, she realized that she wanted to become a teacher from her experience in summer camps as she recognized that she liked “dealing with kids.” Yet specifically she wanted to become a history teacher as she wanted to “combine her passion for dealing with kids and history at the same time.” In high school, Ms. Wilson was voted “Most Likely to Become a Politician.”
Ms. Wilson’s dream job when she was in high school was first to become a detective and then it was changed to becoming James Bond as he is her favorite movie character. However, as she grew up, she decided to become a marine biologist. She settled on picking teaching as her career in her final year of college; Lawrence University.
When I asked Ms. Wilson about her motive to move to Sudan and work in KAS, she said, “I wanted to work in Africa, especially as I was aware that I was going to experience the first presidential elections and referendum.” As my interview continued with her, Ms. Wilson told me that she worked in the U.S. for about six years as a teacher: two years in Pulaski High School and four years in Milwaukee Learning Laboratory Institute. While comparing KAS to her previous teaching experiences in these two schools, she said that she likes KAS more as she likes its sense of community. “I know everyone here: teachers and students. The school is not huge and impersonal.” Yet she also said that KAS has some negativities, especially its starting time at 7:20. Ms. Wilson made it clear that she would like it more if it started at 9:00 instead. As for her experience in Sudan, she said that she likes, “how chill things are. Everything is relaxed.” But she dislikes Sudan’s heat and traffic.
Ms. Wilson is recognized for her embarrassing moments. Her most embarrassing moment was when she had to explain to a doctor how she injured herself getting into the car. In addition, one of her funny, yet scary moments was in Ghana in 2006 with her brother. She remembers, “We were going to this hotel, so we rode a taxi in the middle of the jungle. Suddenly, we were surrounded by shirtless men holding machetes.” But gladly the taxi driver spoke to those men and they let them go.
At the end of the interview, I asked Ms. Wilson about her first step if she were to be elected the president of the U.S., her answer was, “I would try to improve and preserve the people's faith in the American system of government.” Ms. Wilson is a great, motivated, and powerful person and I am sure that if she were to be the president instead of Obama, she would do a better job and would achieve greater accomplishments for the United States.
I think Ms. Wilson will win the race for USA presidency. I will absolutely vote for her!!
